Chris Rogers
Designer. Director. Educator.
Chris Rogers is a theatre designer, director, and educator working for more than fourteen years at various high school and community theatre programs. He is currently the Technical Director for Braswell High School in Denton ISD. He has directed and designed over sixty productions including lighting and scenic design experience with The Theatre Company of Bryan/College Station, Texas as well as Will of the Winds Productions and Moonlight Musicals in Lubbock, Texas. Chris enjoys designing in a grand scale and exploring ways to tell story through design, especially lighting. A few of his favorite designs include ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, ROCK OF AGES, and DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He is a member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association (TETA) and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT). Recently completing his MFA degree in Design at Texas Tech University with a focus on lighting design, Chris also holds an MA degree in Theatre from Texas A&M University at Commerce and a BA degree in Theatre Arts from the University of North Texas.
